Queen Of The Damned

Curious?
I know you are..

Now this movie, is certainly my favorite right underneath the first vampire movie Dracula. The silent film of course, when back then vampires were white with pointy ears and addicted to blood. Queen of the Damned is about an old vampire, Lestat, who slept for decades and now has risen and is tired of hiding his vampire-ness from the world. When he creates a band, who might I add, sounds exactly like Disturbed and Static-x, and attempts to over come from being a figment of every ones imagination, to stepping out into the light and showing who and what he really is.

Isn't it amazing how directors really make vampires sound, sexy, elegant, and dark. Everything us girls enjoy. With no realistic and actual facts of vampires that people haven't heard of for years. Aaliyah plays the Queen of the Damned (Akasha), and yes she basically made it so she's some ancient Egyptian vampire from the crypt who only wants to reek havoc on earth. Oh, and have Lestat all to herself. Many humans have been researching vampires, one of them has actually found Lestat's journal that he had the night he was turned.

I don't know but doesn't this sound like the ordinary movies you hear about? Some one's coming back to life, reliving, trying to take over the world one blood obsession after another? Well, this one is extravagant. The language they use in this movie is intense, the poetry they have for the vampires, the clothes, the music, and the class. I don't know but it just seems to be the most addicting movie that me and many vampire lovers like. Its much more to just coming out of the shadows and letting everyone know your there. Its like reaching out so your not alone, imagine sleeping for decades, not knowing that your the only one left of your kind but pushing it to the limits to having all vampires, whom kept themselves hidden guarding their kind, come out and take rule.

Vampires In the here..

In the now..

I enjoyed the way that they put vampires in our time, its all updated to where goths, emo's, preps and everyone can enjoy it. Vampires in Hollywood, New York, and every where else, come out just to seek out the one vampire, Lestat, who to them seem to be letting their secret out and putting them in what seems like danger. Its really interesting the way they made the movie, in England, then Hollywood. Queen Of The Damned is a movie that I would recommend to all vampire lovers, all dark people, and all that dig deep in the past. Poetry, Love, Darkness, and Royalty the true enemies of the darkness. Aaliyah put alot into the movie, seeming that after she got the award for the movie, an accident happened and she died.  Aaliyah and eight others were killed in an airplane crash in The Bahamas after filming the music video for the single "Rock the Boat". The pilot, Luis Morales III, was unlicensed at the time of the accident and had traces of cocaine and alcohol in his system. Aaliyah's family later filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Blackhawk International Airways, which was settled out of court. Since then, Aaliyah's music has achieved commercial success with several posthumous releases. With album sales estimated to be between 24 to 32 million copies worldwide, Aaliyah has been credited for helping redefine R&B and hip hop, earning her the nickname "Princess of R&B".

Watch this movie you'll love it..

I promise, with all my black little heart.
