We forget about our limits
By swimming in the ocean
To being buried in the sand
We forget about our rules
Plain and simple
We could terrorize and abuse
Or can comfort and lead
We forget our conscience
The mood it controls
Choosing to go with senses
Or with what we know
We ignore our voice
Ways that it leads
The power of minds' stronger
If the world's to succeed
We forget about our limits
The voice and rules
Boundaries and consciousness
But never 'you'
What Fox says about the poem::
FOX: This poem I wrote is based on what we, human beings, choose from or at least CAN choose from. Right or wrong. People don't quite realize what they could possibly choose from because they forget things, they forget their limits, their rules that seem to keep them inside walls. Mental walls that say to them whether they can or cannot do something. I explain that in the poem, the many things they can choose from and the way they think about doing things. Its sort of like, telling people that they CAN choose to be buried in the sand or have fun in the water. They CAN choose to either hurt people or lead them in a positive way. But people cant quite be like, 'Yeah I totally understand' cause not everyone does. Or they think they do but its not quite what I am explaining in this poem. Its telling people to figure it out on your own and see if your life is that way. You can always choose.. Its your right.
